Emblems of Emergencies Ministry
The main symbol of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia is the White Star of Hope, which served as the base for the small emblem of the Emergencies Ministry. The emblem represents a white stretched vertical star with 8 beams with the international sign of civil defence in the center – a blue equilateral triangle with base at the bottom placed inside an orange circle.
The small emblem of the Emergencies Ministry was approved by Edict No.1231 of the President of the Russian Federation “On banner and heraldic sign – emblem of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters” of 15 November 1997.
This emblem is used on arm and chest badges, departmental awards, and as an identification sign on vehicles and equipment.
The emblem comes in three sizes: big, medium and small.
The medium emblem represents a golden double eagle with wings turned down, has a crown on top, holds a scepter in the right claw and an orb in the left one. A small emblem of the Emergencies Ministry is located on the chest of the eagle.
