“The specialists EMERCOM of Russia completed their tasks in rendering assistance at earthquake response in Indonesia,” said the Chief military Expert EMERCOM of Russia Pavel Plat who was meeting the rescuers. “Our team was the equipped better than the others. When the Indonesian authorities made a decision to finish the rescue operations, the rescuers and doctors EMERCOM of Russia continued their job till the final day of their stay in Sumatra and were trying to help the victims in the areas difficult to approach,” he said. Pavel Plat has noted that doctors and rescuers fulfilled their task. “The people there had been working hard to do the best they could to help the victims,” he noted. The doctors of the “Centrospas” unit helped about 500 injured, including 200 children in the helicopter-borne hospital EMERCOM of Russia, held in Sumatra. More than 100 operations were performed in that hospital.
