17 years passed since the first humanitarian aid to the peaceful population in the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict zone

In August 1992, the subunits of the State Committee of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation under the supervision of Sergey Shoigu and Yury Vorobyov started the delivery of medicine and products to the peaceful population, who found themselves in the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict zone. 18-21 August 15 thousand people were evacuated from the conflict zone in Abkhasia by the ships of the State Committee of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
