The first EMERCOM plane flew to Beirut for emergency support to Lebanon

On August 5, an IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry flew to Lebanon to provide assistance to the victims of the explosion in the port of Beirut, which occurred the day before. On board, there are a task force, doctors of Centrospas, as well as the necessary equipment for the deployment of an airmobile hospital. A total of 56 people and 3 units of equipment.

The departure of the next four departmental aircraft is scheduled for the next day. On the second plane IL-76, there are 15 specialists of Rospotrebnadzor and the necessary equipment for deploying a laboratory to detect a new coronavirus infection. All specialists will be in special suits and with protective equipment, taking into account the epidemiological situation for Covid-19.

On board the Sukhoi SJ, there are 7 people from staff, 19 specialists of Centrospas, 2 departmental psychologists. On the plane An-148, there is the personnel of the Department.

After the return of the departmental aircraft IL-76 from Lebanon, a return flight is planned with an additional grouping of the central airmobile detachment and special equipment.

In total, about 150 people will be sent to Lebanese Beirut on five flights of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to provide assistance and liquidate the consequences of the emergency.
