The meeting of the Emergency Situations Commission was held on January 9. It was attended by the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor, Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia - Chief State Inspector of the Russian Federation for Fire Supervision Anatoly Suprunovsky, as well as other representatives of the Commission.
The Commission for Emergency Situations was dedicated to the tragic events that occurred in the Tyumen region the day before, where seven people died in one of the private estates. Currently, the investigation of the incident is being carried out by the investigative authorities, the reasons are being clarified, the perpetrators are determined.
Anatoly Suprunovsky noted that recently, fires in residential buildings used for the provision of social services, in violation of fire safety rules, have become more frequent in Russia.
The Deputy Minister appealed to the leadership of the Tyumen Region with a request to support the proposal of the Russian Emergencies Ministry on licensing this type of activity. Since the premises in which unregistered nursing homes are often located are private property and are not subject to control by the supervisory authorities.
The committee members also noted that regional authorities have repeatedly introduced similar initiatives to the federal level.
