Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Ilya Denisov took part in summing up the results of the activity of EMERCOM

On February 18, 2021, in Moscow, the results of the activities of the Moscow City System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations in 2020 were summed up and tasks were set for 2021.

The event, which was attended by Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Ilya Denisov, Head of the EMERCOM Main Office for Moscow Sergey Zheltov, representatives of territorial bodies of federal executive bodies of the city of Moscow, was held via videoconference.

During the meeting, issues of activities in the field of prevention and elimination of emergencies, fire safety and safety of people at water bodies, indicators of prompt response were considered.

In his report, the head of the EMERCOM Main Office Sergey Zheltov noted that despite the peculiarities of the capital, one of the world's largest megalopolises, with a daily stay of 15 million people, with a large concentration of cultural heritage sites, with a massive presence of people, high-rise buildings, Moscow indicators of prompt response, in comparison with all-Russian, also continue to occupy the leading positions in Russia.

The meeting participants discussed issues of preventive work with the population. It was noted that the decrease in the number of operational events can be considered a consequence of the strengthening of explanatory, advisory and training work.

In his speech, Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Ilya Denisov expressed gratitude to the heads of the executive authorities and the chairmen of the commissions for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and ensuring fire safety at all levels operating in Moscow.

“Behind each life saved is the hard daily work of the EMERCOM of Russia employees and representatives of other services,” Ilya Denisov emphasized.

At the end of the event, key tasks for 2021 were defined.
