EMERCOM of Russia is on a high alert on holidays timed to February 23 and March 8

The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are ready for a prompt response in case of possible emergencies on weekends and non-working holidays from February 20 to 24 and from March 5 to 9, 2020.

At the facilities of mass events throughout the country, round-the-clock vigils have been organized, and those responsible in all territorial bodies and subordinate organizations have been identified. In total, about 63 thousand personnel, over 13.5 thousand pieces of equipment are involved.

"EMERCOM of Russia pays special attention to citizens to comply with fire safety rules on holidays, including not overloading the electrical network, not using faulty electrical appliances and not leaving children unattended," the Press Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry noted.
