The purpose of the training is to prepare for rescue operations during the flood-prone season.

41 rescuers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry from Khakassia, Tuva, Gorny Altai and the Novosibirsk Region are participating in the training camp. Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations practice the skills of descent from the helicopter to evacuate the injured in conditions when landing of the aircraft is impossible.

Classes are held in preparation for the flood-prone season. At this time, rescuers often have to remove fishermen from drifting ice floes, evacuate people cut off by water from islands or provide assistance to injured people in mountainous taiga areas. The skills that rescuers practice in this drill are essential for virtually every search and rescue operation involving an aircraft.
