On May 9, military parades dedicated to the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War are held throughout the country.
For the 20th time, the parade crew of the Academy of Civil Defense of the EMERCOM of Russia took part in the Victory Parade on Red Square.
As part of one parade box, banner and command group, the Ministry was represented by more than 200 people: the best officers and cadets of the university. Many of them are the successors of military dynasties: their grandfathers and great-grandfathers went through the entire war, and some of them were participants in the legendary 1945 Victory Parade on Red Square.
The banner group carried the banners of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the Academy and five separate regiments of the USSR Civil Defense of the 1942 model. The parade was headed by the head of the Academy of Civil Defense , Lieutenant General Victor Panchenkov.
Four-year cadets of the command and engineering faculty of the Academy of Civil Defense marched along the cobblestones of the country's main square. Participation in the military parade is an honor for them and the opportunity to pay tribute to the veterans of the Great War.
After the solemn march on Red Square, the parade team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part in the ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden.
The Civil Protection Academy of the EMERCOM of Russia is the only military university in the system of the department, whose parade crew is marching solemnly across Red Square. For the first time, the personnel of the Academy took part in the Parade on May 9, 2002.
The personnel of the regional divisions of the department also took part in military parades throughout the country, paying tribute to the memory of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.
Shamsutdin Dagirov, Chairman of the Central Council of Veterans of the EMERCOM of Russia, solemnly awarded the personnel of the ceremonial crew of the Academy with the medals of the Ministry of Defense of Russia "For Participation in the Military Parade on Victory Day." 130 cadets were awarded medals "For participation in the military Victory Parade".
