Evgeniy Zinichev inspected the construction progress of the new fire station building in Norilsk

During a working visit to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Evgeniy Zinichev, together with the regional governor, Alexander Uss, checked the construction progress of a new fire station in Norilsk. It will start working at the end of this year.

On an area of ​​over 1100 sq. meters will accommodate 4 fire tankers on the chassis of domestically produced vehicles. The staff will be 41 people.

The Minister inspected the construction progress and the arrangement of the adjacent territory, talked with representatives of the contractor.

“The opening of a new fire station will increase the efficiency of ensuring the protection of residents of Norilsk and nearby settlements. Modern equipment will be put into service, and the personnel will be certified for carrying out emergency rescue operations,” Evgeniy Zinichev noted.

The head of the department also visited the Dudinsky Arctic search and rescue team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, where 54 people serve and 29 pieces of equipment are in service. Since the beginning of its operation, the detachment has taken part in eliminating the consequences of emergencies and incidents almost 350 times.

During the visit, the issues of further development of the detachment and improvement of its material and technical equipment, taking into account the risks, including those caused by the development of the tourist attractiveness of the region, were considered.

“The range of tasks performed by the detachment is not “standard”. In conditions of low temperatures, it is necessary to have certain skills and have the appropriate equipment in service. We pay special attention to the technical equipment of the detachment,” the Minister emphasized.

Evgeniy Zinichev is on a working visit to the region in connection with the large-scale training in the Arctic zone. He personally supervised the implementation of training tasks for emergency response by the units.
