Such trainings are held annually, but, unlike in previous years, the current one took place in conditions of real deterioration of the weather. According to the plan of the trainings, when the weather conditions worsened, a traffic jam formed on one of the sections of the route. To assist drivers on the problematic section of the road, a mobile heating station was deployed. The driver of one of the cars decided, despite the warning and bad weather, to overcome the slippery section of the road at an increased speed in poor visibility conditions and lost control. The car drove off the road into a snow-covered ditch. Neither the driver nor the three passengers could get out of the snow trap on their own. Rescuers who arrived at the scene of the accident unblocked the victims, provided first aid and took them to a mobile heating station, where they were given hot tea. Emergency psychological assistance to the driver and passengers was provided by the psychologist of the EMERCOM Main Office for the Amur Region. Meanwhile, rescuers, using a cross-country vehicle, removed the car from the ditch onto the road.

Unfortunately, EMERCOM employees are faced with such situations in real life. Based on long-term observations and analysis of the risks of emergencies and major traffic accidents on the federal highways of the Amur region, 4 most dangerous sections with a total length of about 100 km have been identified, which are prone to black ice and snow drifts, as well as have dangerous descents and ascents. These areas are under the special attention of rescuers in winter.

Also, there are 89 heating points to assist drivers on snow-covered roads in the Amur Region. Of these, 59 are stationary (these are cafes, gas stations and complexes), 29 are mobile (buses, cars) and one mobile heating point.
