Due to the passage of the cyclone through the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District, the units of the EMERCOM of Russia are working in an enhanced mode. The groupings of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations are ready to provide assistance to the population and eliminate the consequences of unfavorable weather conditions.
In the Magadan Region, EMERCOM employees accompany the intercity passenger vehicles due to the formation of snow drifts and deterioration of visibility on territorial and regional highways. In connection with the declared avalanche danger, the rescuers of the EMERCOM search and rescue team on snowmobiles patrol avalanche-prone areas and ski slopes in order to prevent accidents.
In the Sakhalin Region, in order to eliminate the possible consequences of the passage of a cyclone, 23 mobile and 45 stationary heating points with a total capacity of about three thousand people are in readiness for use. To eliminate possible accidents and snow drifts in the region, 111 brigades were formed, consisting of 244 people and 151 units of equipment.
In the Khabarovsk Territory, the cyclone shifted to the northeast, having ceased to exert its influence on the rest of the region. Therefore, the main groupings of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations are aimed at cleaning up the fallen precipitation, which impedes road traffic between settlements and within them. To assist local authorities in snow removal, heavy equipment of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is also involved - frontal and mini-loaders, dump trucks remove snow from passenger transport stops, intra-block driveways near important public facilities. Mobile groups of rescue units continue to be on duty on the roads of the region and provide assistance to drivers. In the event of difficult situations, the duty guards of the fire and rescue units help the vehicles to get out of the snow drifts. Today rescuers have returned home an elderly hunter, who since November 29 has been unable to leave the winter hut due to heavy snow.
