On the training ground of the branch of the Paramilitary Mine Rescue Unit of the Rostov Region, based in the city of Shakhty, Don mine rescuers conducted trainings. In such training, specialists work out different and unpredictable scenarios in order to be ready for anything during a real rescue operation.

According to the legend of the trainings, a collapse occurred in the mine due to an explosion, people are under the rubble. The search for victims can stretch to the entire depth of the mine. The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are laying a telephone line to communicate with the outside world. Due to the gas contamination of the mine, rescuers have no more than four hours to save people and get out themselves.

Well-trained rescuers managed to find the victims in the shortest possible time, put out the simulated fire and evacuate the victims to the surface.

The training program is updated every year, new elements are introduced so that the mine rescuers are ready for anything in the case of a real emergency.

In July this year, the Mine Rescue Service of Russia will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The branch of the Paramilitary Mine-Rescue Unit of the Rostov Region provides mine-rescue, emergency and rescue services to coal enterprises, open-pit rock facilities and underground construction. It controls 68 enterprises of hazardous industrial mining facilities in the Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as the Chukotka Autonomous District.
