The personnel of the "Leader" Center for High Risk Rescue Operations held classes in the Ryazan Region on the development and application of aviation rescue technologies, parachuting and landing parachute-cargo systems.
Rescuers landed from the Il-76 with a delay in the opening of the parachute, and also dropped containers with rescue equipment and equipment on cargo parachutes. The trainings are held once a quarter with the use of aviation EMERCOM of Russia.
“We are preparing equipment that can be used to eliminate various emergencies and we are landing it together with people on a limited landing area. Today, the personnel showed good knowledge and skills, all tasks were completed in full,” Head of the Airborne Service of the Center, Lead of the training organisation Igor Kuzaev said.
The specialists of the center are capable of landing on hard-to-reach terrain from a height of 100 to 8000 meters from any type of aircraft, delivering cargo with a total weight of up to 12 tons, evacuating the injured by lifting them aboard a helicopter using special devices.
