The grand opening of the monument "Glory to the courage of firefighters and rescuers" took place in the city of Uzlov on the territory of a chemical enterprise.
The monument perpetuates the heroic feat of firefighters, each time risking their lives to save others.
In the summer of 2021, a large fire occurred at the chemical plant. Thanks to the heroic and decisive actions of a close-knit team of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, serious consequences were avoided. Firefighters were awarded high state awards. The monument is a fire truck restored and placed on a pedestal which helped to rescue more than one human life.
During the event, departmental medals of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, diplomas and commendations were awarded to representatives of the chemical plant and employees of the emergency rescue formation of the enterprise.
Employees of the Tula Rescue Unit, representatives of the enterprise and the municipal administration, veterans of the fire department, veterans of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part in the celebration.
