On September 17, the Center for Emergency Psychological Assistance celebrates the 24th anniversary of its formation.
To date, the organization's employees are more than 900 specialists who work at the Center of Emergency Psychological Assistance in Moscow and its branches in Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on Don, Pyatigorsk, Sevastopol, St. Petersburg.
Psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia carry out round-the-clock telephone and Internet counseling of the population, focused on the whole range of psychological problems. The appeals about acute crisis states and situations are of priority importance.
Over the past years, the center's specialists have been involved in providing emergency psychological assistance to victims and relatives of the deceased more than 6,000 times.
In their daily activities, psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are engaged in the preparation and support of the personnel of the Ministry, conduct about 230 thousand events a year. It is such events that allow specialists to effectively perform professional tasks when working under extreme loads.
Many specialists of the centers have received state and Ministry’s awards, and in 2019 the team was awarded the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation.
