Mine rescuers from all over Russia gather in Kemerovo. In the capital of Kuzbass, they will compete in professional skills for six days, performing practical and theoretical tasks in team and individual competitions.
“The All-Russian mine rescue competitions serve as a source of personnel for the mine rescue service. Someone will test their strength, someone will be able to declare themselves as a high-level specialist, but the most important thing is everyone’s desire for professional and personal development, the willingness to share knowledge, experience and learn from the best,” noted the head of the EMERCOM of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov.
Competitions of this scale began in 2022. This time, 23 teams will take part in them, including teams from the VGSCh organizations of the EMERCOM of Russia, as well as auxiliary mine rescue teams from the largest mining enterprises. This year the program included competitions in professional skills and the ability to work in a team: Competition of professional skills of control and testing laboratories workers and the “Tug of War” competition.
A distinctive feature of the All-Russian competitions is a unique approach to drawing up scenarios for practical stages. They are specially designed taking into account current experience in mine rescue operations and are organized at sites that simulate an emergency situation as reliably as possible.
The work of the participants will be assessed by 39 judges - all professionals with extensive experience in mine rescue work.
