In Moscow, at the EMERCOM of Russia, Alexander Kurenkov and Yegor Kovalchuk discussed issues of ensuring security in the border areas of the Bryansk Region and the risks associated with attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Particular attention was paid to providing assistance to residents affected by incidents and implementing social support measures. The current situation in the Region, measures taken to protect the population and further interaction between federal and Regional authorities in the context of continuing risks for border areas are also considered.
Separately, issues of strengthening the fire service units of the Region were considered. Additional forces and means will increase the efficiency of response of fire and rescue units to emerging fires, including at critical infrastructure facilities
“Despite the difficult situation in the border areas, employees of the Emergencies Ministry daily carry out tasks to protect the population and eliminate the consequences of incidents. It is important that Regional authorities provide the necessary support to units, creating conditions for their efficient and safe operation,” noted Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov.
