The plane landed at the airport named after Constantine the Great. The operational group of the EMERCOM of Russia was met by official representatives of the Serbian side Luka Causic, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, head of the Emergency Situations Sector, the leadership of the emergency headquarters of the city of Nis, as well as the director of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Nis Evgeniy Filatov and a delegation of the Russian Embassy in Serbia led by Minister-Counselor Alexander Konanykhin.
The captain of the EMERCOM of Russia aircraft, Andrei Vislov, thanked the host for the warm welcome.
“Thank you for the meeting. We are ready to work and will do everything like the good old days. This is not the first time Nish has met us, and every time it is a warm welcome with open arms. We came here like home,” said Andrei Vislov.
The arriving group of the EMERCOM of Russia is ready to immediately begin carrying out tasks to assist Serbian services in the fight against wildfires.
The EMERCOM of Russia has the necessary experience and equipment to effectively localize and eliminate fires, as well as protect populated areas from the threat of fire spread.
