For three days, rescuers of the YuRPSO EMERCOM of Russia and the flight crew of the Southern Aviation Rescue Center have been practicing interaction during search and rescue operations - searching for and evacuating “victims” on board a Ka-32 helicopter. Rescuers are honing their skills in parachute-free landing onto a limited area of a helicopter field, as well as descents along the bed of the mountain river Sochi.
Specialists of the YURPSO EMERCOM of Russia parachute from a height of 10 to 30 meters along a rope using a descending device. Lifting a conditionally injured person in a stretcher and a rescue scarf is practiced using an on-board winch.
In total, 30 employees of the Southern Regional Search and Rescue Team are taking part in the training camp.
