On August 30, the First Deputy Minister of Emergencies of Russia Alexander Chupriyan held a weekly conference call. During the meeting, it was noted that today the flood situation is observed in 6 regions - more than 200 residential and country houses, over 5.4 thousand household plots, 2 low-water bridges, 124 sections of highways and 6 public important facilities have been flooded.
On August 28, Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Nikolay Grechushkin, during a working visit to the Nizhny Novgorod Region, took part in a meeting of the working group of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies and ensuring the fire safety of the region.
The heads of the Ministry took part in an interdepartmental meeting chaired by the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Nikolay Shishkin. It took place at the Office of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the Volga Federal District.
On August 26, in the Vladimir Region, the final stage of the competition and the closing ceremony of the All-Russian competition in fire and rescue sport among the special forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia took place.
According to Federal Dispatching Service of Forestry (Avialesokhrana), 55 wildfires are active in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), five fires were liquidated per day on a total area of over 316 hectares.
