Daily operational forecast for May 9, 2021

The operational forecast of possible emergency situations for May 9, 2021 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 5 cyclones, 3 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts.

Due to the severe weather phenomena, the emergencies including the disruption of life support services, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport, flooding of low-lying areas are forecast:

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Karachay-Cherkess and Chechen Republic (heavy rains, rainfalls, thunderstorms, hail, squall, water levels increase on rivers, small mudflows descend in the mountains).

Due to the adverse weather phenomena, the accidents including the disruption of life support systems, all modes of transport, power lines breakage are forecast:

in the Far Eastern Federal District, in the Jewish Autonomous Region (heavy rain in places, wind speed up to 18 m/s);

in the Siberian Federal District, in the Republic of Tyva (rains, thunderstorms, wind speed up to 22 m/s);

in the Northwestern Federal District, in the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions (heavy rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s);

in the Central Federal District, in the Ivanovo region (wind gusts up to 18 m/s);

in the Southern Federal District, in the Republic of Crimea and the Republic of Adygea, Rostov Region, Krasnodar Territory (heavy rains, rainfalls, hail, thunderstorm, squally wind up to 20-23 m/s, wind up to 25 m/s in some areas), Astrakhan and Volgograd regions (wind gusts up to 20 m/s), in the Krasnodar Territory on the Magri - Vesyoloye section (risk of tornadoes forming over the sea);

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and the Stavropol Territory (heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, wind gusts during a thunderstorm up to 20 m/s, wind up to 27 m/s in mountainous areas).

The landslides, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas are forecast in the North Caucasian Federal and Southern Federal districts.

There is an avalanche danger in the mountainous regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (Republic of Buryatia, Kamchatka Territory), the Siberian Federal District (Krasnoyarsk Territory, Republic of Altai, Republic of Khakassia, Tyva, Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions), the Southern Federal District (Republic of Adygea, Krasnodar Territory (Sochi city)), the North Caucasian Federal District (Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria).
