Daily operational forecast for May 15, 2022

On May 15, 2022, 2 cyclones, 1 anticyclone and the atmospheric fronts are forecast.

Due to the severe weather phenomena, the emergencies including the disruption of communal services, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport are forecast:

in the Far Eastern Federal District on the territory of the Sakhalin Region (very heavy rain, sleet, black ice).

Due to the adverse weather phenomena, the accidents including the disruption of communal services, all modes of transport, power lines breakage are forecast:

in the Far Eastern Federal District, in the Chukotka Autonomous District (wind gusts up to 25 m/s on the coast of the East Siberian Sea, wind gusts up to 34 m/s in the Pevek district);

in the Ural Federal District, in the Sverdlovsk Region (wind gusts up to 18 m/s during thunderstorms);

in the Volga Federal District, in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Samara Region (wind gusts up to 20 m/s, thunderstorms);

in the Central Federal District, in Moscow (thunderstorm);

in the Southern Federal District, in the Republic of Kalmykia and the Volgograd Region (strong wind, wind gusts up to 22 m/s);

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic (gusty wind up to 20 m/s).

There is a risk of flooding of low-lying areas, residential buildings, household plots, highways, low-water bridges in the Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural, Central, Northwestern, North Caucasian, Southern and Volga federal districts due to the precipitation, snowmelt, melting of ice cover and rising water levels on rivers, clogging of drainage systems.

There is a risk of thermal anomalies, an increase of the number of foci and areas of wildfires and a possible transition of fire to settlements, infrastructure facilities, disruption of the life support systems in the Far Eastern, Siberian, Ural, Volga, Northwestern, Central, Southern and North Caucasian federal districts due to fires, counter fires of dry grass, brushwood, forest litter and dry grass burning despite fire safety rules in the forest and in areas adjacent to forests.

The landslides, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas are in the North Caucasian and Southern federal districts.

There is an avalanche danger in the mountainous regions of the Far Eastern, Siberian, Northwestern, Southern and North Caucasian federal districts.
