21 May joint field demonstration exercise on disaster management will take place as part of the International “Integrated Security 2010” Fair. The topic is: “Search-and-rescue and other urgent operations on natural and industrial emergency response”.

During the exercises historical reconstruction of fire extinguishing by the horse-kegly train and the fire extinguishing of the burning site after the air attack will be demonstrated.

The testing site audience will be demonstrated:

- Unmanned aerial vehicles, which are used during search-and-rescue operations as well as monitoring the emergency area places.

- The work of the Ka-32A plane which is equipped with the system of horizontal and vertical fire extinguishing.

- Il-76 plane airlift delivery of the temporary accommodation places

Two air-delivery platforms drop will be conducted from the 250 meters height on two cargo parachutes. The platforms are incorporated with the elements of temporary accommodation places. The platforms are also equipped with special shock-absorbers which help to save the cargo when landing.

Air-delivery platform ADP-1000 is aimed at airlift delivery of small-size cargo from transport planes. It provides 1000 kg airlift delivery cargo safety with up to 400 km/h plane speed.

- The work of the EL-10 robotic set.

This set is aimed at intelligence works, making ways through the debris, fire extinguishing means delivery to the fire area and its extinguishing. With additional equipment can be used in emergency response operations with chemical and radiation pollution as well as when working with explosive objects.

- Works with the use of robotic means

The works are conducted with the help of “Brok 110” and “El-T” mobile robots.

Mobile robots do intelligence job, clear mines and extinguish fires.

Mobile robotic El-T set is aimed at conducting search-and-rescue works in remote mode in dangerous conditions like chemical poisonous substances, radioactive substances and explosive objects. There is up to 1.5 km operation radius.

The set was developed domestically and is the representative of the multifunctional robots which are being developed at present. These robots must be obtained by the EMERCOM of Russia in the near future.

Mobile “Brok 110” robot is aimed at working in dangerous for the person’s life and health conditions. It can work in the areas of chemical and radiation emergencies as well as with explosive objects. It is managed remotely by the operator with the help of TV-cameras from up to 200 m distance.

- Fire extinguishing from the fractionation tower with the use of foam carrier

The foam carrier is aimed at extinguishing fire in reservoirs and other processing systems at the oil storage and processing facilities.

- Mobile fire-rescue powerful set equipped with robotic set for gas-water extinguishing

This set is aimed at extinguishing fire at the places of gas and oil extraction, transportation and processing, chemical industry enterprises in powerful thermal emission conditions, including the fireball situations. Provides staff safety when conducting risky fire-rescue operations with the danger of thermal or explosive action. The set consists of a heavy fire-transport vehicle and a mobile robotic gas-water extinction installation. The management of the gas-water extinction installation is remote, through the radio channel.

- The work of the LUF 60 robotic set

This robotic set is aimed at extinguishing fires in highway and railway tunnels, garages and underground garages, in the subway, production floor and storage areas with high risk for the life of the rescuers. It is operated remotely.

Depending on conditions, it provides the supply of diffused water, compact water-foam stream or the stream of medium expansion foam which is provided by the fan installation with positively-driven pressurization.

- Fire vehicle for airdrome extinguishing Magirus Superdragon x8.

Fire vehicle for airdrome extinguishing is aimed at conducting rescue works and fire extinguishing works at the airdromes. The fire group consists of 4 people. The vehicle is equipped with two engines, has 4 wheel drive and single tires which allow working in practically any grounds.

The guests of the trainings will also be shown:

- The work of fire and rescue brigades’ facilities;

- Conducting ground and air reconnaissance;

- Providing security of the emergency area by means MIA of Russia;

- Staff and temporary accommodation for the injured delivery to the emergency area by aircraft EMERCOM of Russia (rescuers’ airlift delivery from the Mi-8 helicopter);

- Evacuation of the injured from the building roof by the Bo-105 helicopter;

- Rescuers’ airlift delivery to the area of the temporary accommodation place;

- Oil spill containment by the Mi-8 helicopter with the use of VOP-3;

- Railway transport emergency relief operation;

- Fire extinguishing with the use of EMERCOM of Russia aircraft;

- Fire extinguishing at the top floors of the buildings with the help of helicopters;

- Helicopter evacuation of the injured and a lot more.
