The rescuers are planning to finish the examination of “Raspadskaya” mine tunnels in the upcoming day. There on 9 May there were two explosions. This is what the Head EMERCOM of Russia Sergey Shoigu reported about to the Head of the Government of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
“WE are planning to finish the examination if everything goes well with the ventilation startup,” said the Minister. He specified, everything is ready for the ventilation startup, however, the activities connected with the works in the mine and on surface must be conducted prior to that. According to Sergey Shoigu, artificial ventilation can start in the second half of the day.
The Head EMERCOM of Russia reported that there are 724 people working in the mine as part of the single state system of emergency elimination. “The works are being conducted 24 hours running. 10 groups of mine rescuers are working in all the directions where the miners can be,” he said.
