The Russian Emergencies Ministry bid farewell to a pyrotechnician who died tragically while clearing mines in the Kursk Region

On September 24, a memorial service was held at the "Leader" Center for High Risk Rescue Operations of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The Head of the Pyrotechnic Division of the Pyrotechnic and Special Canine Operations Office of the unit, Vyacheslav Tsoffka, tragically died on September 21 in the Kursk Region while on duty.

His colleagues, personnel and veterans of the rescue department said goodbye to their colleague. The deceased was accompanied on his final journey by his family, relatives and friends.

During his service, Vyacheslav Tsoffka was awarded state and departmental awards.

"Our colleague was a professional. He participated in humanitarian demining in our country and abroad and risked his life every time. Since 2022, Vyacheslav has repeatedly traveled to the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics to carry out a noble mission. The tragedy took the life of a professional with vast experience, a mentor and a friend," said the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Alexander Kurenkov.

Vyacheslav Tsoffka is buried in Moscow.
