The Mariinsky Theatre celebrated the 30th anniversary of the 83rd fire and rescue unit.
The Fire Service of the Mariinsky Theatre is not only servicing the historic stage. Now, eight theatre facilities are under protection. This is the historic stage, known to every Russian and many foreigners. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The New Stage, built in 2013, is the largest venue of the Mariinsky Theatre in terms of the number of people present at the same time. The Concert Hall, which includes two auxiliary buildings, one of which also hosts performances. The administrative building of the Mariinsky Theatre and the art and production plant, located at different addresses: this is where costumes and scenery for performances are created.
A solemn awards ceremony for employees and veterans of the fire protection was held on the territory of the theatre's second stage. The event was attended by representatives of the management, employees of the Mariinsky Theatre and honored guests.
At the end of the ceremony, soloists performed world classic hits for the audience.
