THE NATIONAL CRISIS MANAGEMENT CENTER

During the day, "The National Crisis Management Center" of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia organized work to ensure the functioning of management bodies, the management of forces and assets within the framework of the crisis management system at all levels of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations.
I. The following activities were organized: extinguishing 650 man-made fires, responding to 328 traffic accidents and 6 accidents on water bodies, detection and disposal of 25 explosive objects, including one bomb, and providing psychological assistance in 8 cases.
II. Measures taken to eliminate the consequences:
• fires: in a shopping center in Birobidzhan; in apartment buildings in the cities of Syktyvkar, Kazan and Omsk;
• Accident in which three cars hit pedestrians in the city of Nizhny Novgorod; accident with two cars in the Surgut Region of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District;
• Ice-breakup with fishermen near the village of Kuliki, the Perm Territory;
• gas-air explosion in an apartment building in the city of Tyumen;
• violations: heat supply in Engels (Saratov Region) and Volgograd; cold and hot water supply in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
III. On control:
• situation on the roads of the Altai Territory.
