An interdepartmental meeting was held in the Murmansk Region to summarize the results of the activities of the territorial subsystems of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations (RSChS) of the constitution entities of the North Western Federal District of Russia for 2024 and to set goals for 2025.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Roman Kurynin, heads of the northwestern regions, heads of the main departments, institutions and organizations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as well as ministries, services and organizations that solve problems of protecting the population and territories from emergency situations.
Opening the event, Roman Kurynin emphasized that the effectiveness of the RSChS territorial subsystem is confirmed by the main indicators. Thus, the number of people died in emergencies and fires decreased by 52 people. The number of incidents on water bodies decreased by 6.1%. Over the year, 12 emergency situations and 27 thousand man-made fires occurred in the North Western Federal District. 424 incidents were recorded on water bodies.
The material and technical base of the fire and rescue forces is constantly developing and improving. Thus, 32 modern fire and rescue vehicles were received at the expense of the federal budget and another 57 were purchased at the expense of the subjects of the district.
At the end of the event, the results of the review competitions of the federal district for the title of "Best Local Government Authority", "Best Unified Dispatch Service", "Best Civil Defense Protective Structure", "Best State Inspection for Small Vessels" and "Best Central Control Center" were summed up.
The best specialists were also awarded. State and departmental awards were presented to employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, participants in the special military operation, representatives of the RSChS subsystem, who showed personal courage in eliminating emergency situations and made a great contribution to the development of rescue work.
