Representatives of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part in the XIV International Forum "Arctic: Present and Future" named after Artur Chilingarov.
The forum participants, including scientists, politicians and business representatives, discussed current issues of preserving biodiversity, preventing environmental pollution and introducing environmentally friendly technologies in the Arctic Region. The forum presented projects aimed at improving the environmental situation and ensuring sustainable development of the Arctic.
The business program of the forum included more than 45 events.
Traditionally, representatives of the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry took part in the forum, highlighting the role of the rescue agency in ensuring the safety of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
By decision of the leadership of the Ministry, a Competence Center for Ensuring the Safety of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation was created on the basis of the university.
The stand of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was deployed at the site, consisting of thematic sectors dedicated to the provision of psychological and first aid, rescue and diving operations, organization of radiation, chemical and biological protection and fire protection activities. The vehicles produced in Russia for solving various tasks, confidently operating in off-road conditions and low temperatures, were presented. The participants were presented with the capabilities of a multifunctional complex of climatic tests, and within the framework of the "Meeting of Generations" project, thematic master classes were held for young people to popularize the specialties of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
