The Russian Emergencies Ministry summed up the results of the "Constellation of Courage" festival, which identifies the best specialists in their professions in the rescue department. This year, this title was received by two representatives of the Khabarovsk Aviation Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry - Artem Voitsehovsky and Sergey Serdyukov. "The best aircraft rescue pilot" - Deputy Commander of the aviation detachment of the Khabarovsk Aviation Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Artem Voitsehovsky. In the rescue department, he flies the Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft. He has served in the Russian Emergencies Ministry for more than 8 years. He is not only an aircraft commander, but also a pilot instructor who constantly trains the flight crew of the aviation detachment to perform tasks for their intended purpose. And there is a lot to teach, because he already has a lot of experience and work in a variety of emergency situations. This includes extinguishing fires both in Russian regions and abroad, searching for people in distress in marine waters, delivering cargo and rescuers to various emergency zones. The outgoing 2024 was also a difficult year for Artem Voitsekhovsky. The crew of the Be-200ChS aircraft under his command carried out tasks to extinguish wildfires and protect settlements from fire in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for three summer months. They made 27 flights. They spent almost 100 hours in the air. Over 1 thousand tons of water were dropped on the fire sites and the edge of the flames. Thanks to the work of aviation, it was possible to save about 20 hectares of protected forest from burning out and remove the threat to 3 settlements.
"The best helicopter rescue pilot" - the commander of the Mi-8 helicopter of the Khabarovsk ASC of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Sergey Serdyukov. He already has 3 thousand flight hours under his belt. He joined the rescue agency in 2021. During this time, he has proven himself to be a highly qualified specialist who always makes balanced decisions to ensure safety and timely completion of assigned tasks, and acts competently and professionally in difficult situations. He is not only a crew commander, but also a mentor for his colleagues. He has repeatedly participated in the elimination of the consequences of emergency situations, extinguishing fires, delivering rescuers, task forces and humanitarian aid to disaster areas. The most difficult work in the outgoing year for the crew led by Sergey Serdyukov fell on the summer period. From July to August, as part of the aviation group of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, his Mi-8MTV helicopter took part in extinguishing large-scale fires in the area of the settlements of Olekminsk and Verkhnevilyuysk. The flights required high piloting skills, since it was necessary to work in difficult climatic conditions and dense smoke. With the use of aviation, the transfer of forces and means to the sources of fires, as well as direct extinguishing of fires, was carried out. Thanks to coordinated actions, it was possible to protect several villages from the fire, as well as the territory of the national reserve.
